Andrew has worked in small to medium businesses for 30 years, from "start-ups" to £100m + PLC's, from main board positions in Sales and Marketing, to partner in two man scratch enterprises.

He's been involved in the acquisition or sale of over a dozen companies and became financially secure in 2003, age 40. He now works with a variety of projects and clients, primarily in the outdoor recreation space, some commercial, many in the charitable or public space.

In 2011 he was appointed CEO of the Outdoor Industries Association the non-profit body that represents the UK Outdoor Recreation sector to government and across the world. He is also Secretary General of the European Outdoor Group Coalition ‘Its Great Out There’ to increase Outdoor activity in Europe. He is the Chair of the Sheffield Outdoor City project, sits on The Wild Network council and is the Outdoor Recreation Representative at UK Active.

In 2015 Andrew was appointed by the Sports Minister to co-chair a committee to contribute a national outdoor recreation strategy to the government’s new sport strategy paper Sporting Future. He sits on several steering groups & committees, both government and NGO in outdoor recreation, working with DCMS, PHE, Sport England, National Trust and others.  

Andrew is an NLP Trainer, Master Practitioner & NLP Coach. He has diplomas in international business coaching, Transactional Analysis coaching, and High Performance coaching. His learning experience includes NLP with Dr Richard Bandler, sales training with Brian Tracy, the 7 Habits directly with Stephen Covey as well as many other world class seminars.

He is an accomplished ski mountaineer, mountain biker and GB Ironman triathlete, with first ascents in Patagonia, the Arctic & Antarctica and a broad background of outdoor adventures across the world.

He lives in Cheshire with his partner Steph and daughter Isadora.
